97 F250 7.3 with just over 100k miles on it. The truck was dying randomly. If you were sitting in park and revved it and then let off the pedal, it would die out. Floor it to pass a slow driver while driving, sometimes it would die. You would be making a turn and have your foot on the pedal driving fine then let off the pedal and engine would shut off, then no power steering, would almost go head on with oncoming traffic. Ford dealership had no clue they said try installing a new fuel pump, did not solve it. The mechanic I go to regularly said maybe there is sediment in the tank from farm use and that we should try to replace the tanks or tank pumps. One of my buddies did some research on some forums and came across this problem from a few other people so we ordered this part and installed it ourselves. Problem solved and runs well. Plus much cheaper than OEM!
