This is probably one of the best pictorial history of Nicholas and Alexandra and their family. For anyone looking for an introduction to the last Russian imperial family, this is a good place to start. Although rather big, it beautifully combines detailed text as well as numerous photographs. My first copy of the book was in less than satisfactory condition (pages missing and pages folded). I was so pleased to find this copy in exceptional condition, with all pages included. Although I have seen most of the photos before it's still a beautiful book and a wonderful addition to my extensive collection of Royal history books. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in the Romanovs or royal history.
